CARY AMATEUR RADIO CLUB

The Cary Amateur Radio Club will meet at 7:31 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, at White Plains United Methodist Church, 313 S.E. Maynard Road, Cary. Nicholas Petro of the U.S. Weather Service will conduct a SKYWARN class to qualify all attendees as Weather Watchers, trained to aid the USWS via Amateur Radio during severe weather.

CARY COMMUNITY LIONS CLUB

The Cary Community Lions meet at noon on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at IHOP, 1301 Kildaire Farm Road, Cary.

CARY CROSS TRAILERS SQUARE DANCE CLUB

The Cary Cross Trailers Square Dance Club meets every Thursday from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall at the Cary United Methodist Church, 117 South Academy Street. Visitors welcome. For information, visit www.carycrosstrailers.org .

DEMOCRATIC WOMEN OF WAKE COUNTY

The Democratic Women of Wake County will hold a luncheon meeting at noon Thursday, Feb. 23, at the N.C. State University Club, 4200 Hillsborough St., Raleigh. Lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m. Cost is $16. Charmaine Fuller Cooper, executive director of the N.C. Justice for Sterilization Victims Foundation, will speak. FINE ARTS LEAGUE OF CARY

FUQUAY-VARINA WOMAN'S CLUB

The Fuquay-Varina Woman's Club will hold an event called "March Fashion Madness" from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 3 at the Shoppes on Main, 212 S. Main St., Fuquay-Varina. There will be Spring clothes, music, the community center dance team and refreshments. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the Shoppes on Main or David Anthony's.
