FOOD CUPBOARD JOINS AMPLEHARVEST.ORG

The Holly Springs Food Cupboard has joined the Ample Harvest.org Campaign, a nationwide effort to enable neighborhood food pantries to be easily located by gardeners wishing to share their excess garden bounty.

The website enables food pantries to register their name, phone, address, an optional photograph of the pantry to make it easier to find, and when they can accept the gardeners' produce.

SENIOR GAMES ACCEPTING ENTRIES

The 2012 Raleigh-Wake Senior Games will be April 2-25 at various sites throughout Wake County.

The Raleigh-Wake Senior Games is an athletic and artistic competition for adults age 55 and older, featuring over 30 sports events, as well as competition in visual, literary, craft and performing arts. Medal-winners in the Raleigh-Wake Senior Games are eligible for the North Carolina Senior Games Finals this fall.
