Residents can purchase bricks or granite squares to support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
The Greater Carolinas Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is offering the opportunity for residents to purchase bricks to be placed at Park West 14 Theater in Morrisville. Bricks are $75 and can be engraved with the text of your choice. Granite squares measuring 16x16 are also available for $1,500. All proceeds will benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Greater Carolinas Chapter.

Valentines for Vets
The Eva Perry Regional Library will hold a drop-in craft program for teens in grades 6-10 to make valentine cards for military veterans from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at 2100 Shepherd’s Vineyard Drive, Apex. Children’s Theater Performances
Wake County Public Libraries, in partnership with Raleigh Little Theatre’s “Storytellers to Go” traveling troupe, will host performances from “The Jack Tales” in February.

“Mill as Muse” Exhibit
Historic Yates Mill County Park, 4620 Lake Wheeler Road in Raleigh, is accepting artwork for the seventh annual “Mill As Muse” exhibit. Contest themes will focus on Yates Mill, park flora and fauna, and people participating in park activities. All entries are due before 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3.

Holly Springs Arts Festival
The first annual Holly Springs Community Arts Festival will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, Wednesday, Feb. 6 and Thursday, Feb. 7; 4 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Holly Springs Cultural Center, 300 W. The festival will culminate in a gala fundraising event from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9. Proceeds will benefit the Holly Springs Arts Council.

Town of Cary Daddy-Daughter Dance
The town of Cary will host its annual daddy-daughter dance for fathers and their daughters ages 4-12 from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, and Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Cary Senior Center, 120 Maury O’Dell Place.
Registration is now open; dads and daughters are required to pre-register. Cost is $17 per person for residents and $22 for nonresidents. Fees include a photograph of the couple, live music entertainment and refreshments.

Mardi Gras Gala

Teen Day Fuquay
For the third year in a row, the Fuquay-Varina Police will hold Teen Day Fuquay, an alcohol and distracted driving awareness program for teens ages 11-18, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the Fuquay-Varina Community Center.
At Teen Day, teenagers will have the chance to test their skills at the Drive Wise Course, filled with high tech and low tech activities designed to drive home the realities of mixing driving with alcohol or texting. The first 300 teens to complete the Drive Wise Course will get a free Teen Day T-shirt. The Fuquay-Varina Fire Department will also present an all new crash scenario.
