Swim meet has talent

With Apex, Cardinal Gibbons, Millbrook and Corinth Holders at Triangle Aquatic Center on Tuesday, nine returning state placers will be on display.

• Middle Creek’s Fred Irafemi recorded the first triple-double in program history when he recorded 20 points, 16 rebounds and 12 blocks in a 94-82 loss to Garner on Wednesday night.

• Former Fuquay-Varina boys’ basketball coach Bill Brown is assisting longtime league foe Cary High this season.
