Student exchange program

World Heritage Student Exchange Program is looking for host families for high school boys and girls from Scandinavia, France, Germany, Italy, Thailand, China, South Korea and former Soviet Republics. Couples, single parents and families with or without children can host a teenager for the 2014-15 school year. Cardinal Charter Academy information sessions

Cardinal Charter Academy, a new charter school for kindergarten through sixth grade, will open in the fall at 1020 St. Charles Place, Cary. Information sessions for parents and community members will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursdays, Feb. 6 and 20, and Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Cary Senior Center, 120 Maury Odell Place, Cary. Soup Supper

National Art Honor Society students at Green Hope High School in Cary, Sanderson High School in Raleigh and Southeast Raleigh Magnet High School will host a Soup Supper to raise money for the Raleigh Rescue Mission from 5-5:45 p.m., 6-6:45 p.m. and 7-7:45 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13, at the Contemporary Art Museum, 409 W. Martin St., Raleigh.

Two-thirds of the money raised will be donated; the last third will be divided between the schools. Green Hope students will choose another charity for their share. Tickets cost $20 at www.camraleigh.org.

IMProv at Cary High School

Students will perform in competitive IMProv shows at 7 p.m. one Friday a month through May in the drama studio at Cary High School, 638 Walnut St. Shows will be Feb. 14, March 21, April 11 and May 16. Admission is $2.

FAFSA Day

College financial aid officers and specialists will help high school seniors and their families submit their Free Application Federal Student Aid forms online during FAFSA Day, Saturday, Feb. 22, at State Employees’ Credit Union locations in Apex, Cary, Fuquay-Varina and Holly Springs. Anxiety workshop

Dr. Aureen Wagner’s workshop, “Helping Children Cope with Anxiety,” was rescheduled for 7-9 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24, at Davis Drive Middle School, 2101 Davis Drive, Cary. The workshop offers information and strategies for parents of kids with anxiety disorders or problems with anxiety. To register, go to bit.ly/1dkEWsM.

‘Grease’

Green Hope High School students will perform the show “Grease” at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 6, and Friday, March 7, and at 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at 2500 Carpenter Upchurch Road, Cary.
