What causes traffic jams? Development

When I read that Cary is concerned about traffic delays on Harrison Avenue due to trains, my first thought was that we must protect the “holy land.”

Yes, it is right to be concerned when traffic jams occur. But I have seen no such concern when it comes to approving development, or at least limiting the scale of such projects.

For the Town Council to ask for feedback from residents on whether to build a bridge to alleviate the traffic jams is an insult.

Time and again residents have pleaded with the council to limit development for the same reason cited in the news story – increased traffic.

Such pleas fell on deaf ears as developers rule, even though the public votes.
