Jazz concert

Jim Ketch and the Triangle Wind Ensemble will play jazz music at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, May 25, at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary. Lawn tickets cost $16 for adults, $13 for students, seniors and active military. Tickets are free for kids younger than 12. Table seats cost $26. ‘Feathers and Fur 2014’

“Feathers and Fur 2014,” an exhibit by Cary artist Bobbi Hopp, will be on display through Tuesday, May 27, at the Herbert C. Young Community Center, 101 Wilkinson Ave., Cary.

‘Carmina Burana’

The North Carolina Symphony, Music Director Grant Llewellyn, the North Carolina Master Chorale and Capital City Girls Choir will perform “Carmina Burana” at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary. Kids’ pottery workshop

Lynne Fischer will lead pottery workshops for beginners, ages 8 and older, from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, June 1, and Sunday, June 8, at the Art Adventure Studio, 107 Spring Hollow Lane, Cary. Hob Nob Jazz Series

The third year of the Hob Nob Jazz Series continues through Wednesday, June 11. Performances will be from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesdays at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary.

Tickets for individual shows cost $5. The whole series costs $20. Admission is free for ages 12 and younger. Pets on leashes are allowed. For tickets, go to www.etix.com.

Movies by Moonlight

WakeMed Cary Hospital sponsors movie screenings at dusk, around 8:30 p.m., at Koka Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary.

Tickets are $3, free for kids younger than 12. A portion of proceeds will benefit the WakeMed Children’s Hospital. Picnics are allowed, but pets are not. Tickets are only available at the amphitheater box office from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays. Seven O’Clock Rock Series

Cary’s third annual Seven O’Clock Rock series continues through Friday, July 18, on the corner of Academy and Chatham streets downtown. Free dance lessons start at 7 p.m., and free concerts start at 7:30 p.m.

En Plein Air auction

A public auction of paintings from Fuquay-Varina’s third annual En Plein Air Paint-Off will be from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, June 7, on Vance Street. The top three winners’ paintings will be enlarged and placed on brick walls in the town’s historic district and added to the public art program organized by Fuquay-Varina Downtown and sponsored by Bob Barker, Inc. ‘Wonderland’
