Green Hope PTSA

Classroom Technology Awards

Cary student earns honorable mention

Sangeetha Kumar, the daughter of Kumar Mani and Usha Gopalaswamy of Cary, earned an honorable mention from the Morris K. Udall and Stewart L. Udall Foundation for this year’s Udall Scholarship.

REALTOR Foundation scholarship

Harrison Ballard, a student at Panther Creek High School in Cary, earned a $1,500 scholarship from the REALTOR Foundation of the Triangle Community Service Committee. He plans to study biology at Duke University to prepare for dental school.

Pretty in Pink Fashion Show

Green Hope High School’s fifth annual Pretty in Pink Fashion Show has been rescheduled. The event will begin with a silent auction at 6:30 p.m. and the fashion show at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, in the school auditorium at 2500 Carpenter Upchurch Road, Cary. The event will raise money for the 1in9 foundation. Admission is $5. For information about 1in9, go to www.1in9.com.

Senior Awards Ceremony

Green Hope High School’s Senior Awards Ceremony will be at 8:30 a.m. Friday, May 30, at 2500 Carpenter Upchurch Road, Cary.

The Drammies

The Drammies, Green Hope High School’s drama and choral awards night, will be at 6 p.m. Friday, May 30, at 2500 Carpenter Upchurch Road, Cary.

Cary Homeschoolers Showcase

Homeschool students’ work will be on display from 4-5:30 p.m. Saturday, May 31, in the Middle Creek Community Center, 123 Middle Creek Park Ave., Apex. Displays will cover many subjects, including robotics demonstrations. For details, go to www.homeschoolshowcase.org.

Baccalaureate service

Thales Academy tours
