Man, woman accused of $2,000 merchandise theft from Fuquay-Varina Walmart

— Police charged a man from Forsyth County and a woman from Randolph County with felony larceny early Thursday for what officers charged was shoplifting almost $2,100 worth of toiletries and pharmacy products from a Walmart store.

Ashley Ann Davis, 27, of 219 Alison Lane in Archdale, near High Point, was charged with felony larceny and with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Police said in an arrest warrant that they found a syringe with heroin residue in it.

Danny Allen Stanley Jr., 45, of 2618 Highway 66 South in Kernersville was charged with felony larceny.

The two were arrested shortly before 1 a.m. at East Broad and Stewart streets, near the store, an arrest report said.

Arrest warrants charged that the pair had $2,096.25 worth of merchandise for which they had not paid.

Stanley was being held on $15,000 bail and Davis on $8,500, and they were to appear in court Thursday.
